About me and my therapy practice

As a person- centred therapist, my role is to help my clients explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors in order for them to become more self-aware.

Here are some characteristics of a person-centered therapy session:

Client-led: The client leads the session and directs the treatment process.

Non-directive: As the therapist, I take a non-directive approach, avoiding judgment or advice.

Active listening: I demonstrate active listening and discuss  what a client says using their words in order to help each individual understand their thoughts and feelings.

Empathy: I use empathy to show understanding of each of my client's emotions.

Unconditional positive regard: I place value on each client for who they are as an individual.

Congruence: In each therapeutic session, my aim is to be authentic and honest with my clients. This helps my clients feel accepted and understood.

Practice description

I offer;

Whether you are facing challenges related to intimacy, trust, or other issues, our experienced therapists can help you work through them and achieve greater satisfaction in your relationship.

Family counselling services are designed to help families overcome challenges related to communication, conflict, and other issues. I work with families to identify strengths and weaknesses, improve communication and problem-solving skills, and develop a stronger sense of cohesion and support.

Child and adolescent counselling services are designed to help young people overcome a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and more. My first session

I believe that the therapeutic relationship between a client and a therapist is of utmost importance. This is why I offer an introductory meet and greet to ensure I am the right therapist for you. This can last upto 30 minutes and is free of charge.

We can look at my approach to my work as a therapist and look at how this will help you create the desired outcomes from working with a therapist. We will also look at how we will work together, including the logistics of how our therapeutic sessions will take place
