About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to Talk Feel Heal Therapy, my name is Laura and I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I work with young people and adults who are struggling with their mental wellbeing and feeling stuck. 

Therapy can be really powerful and I am passionate about empowering individuals to begin or continue with their journey of self-discovery, reconnection, and healing.

People go to therapy for many different reasons. It may be because you are feeling anxious, depressed, stressed, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself and loved ones. You may have unresolved traumas that are impacting on your daily life. You may be feeling stuck in these vicious cycles and do not know what to do.

I can help you! I have decades of experience and expertise working with young people and adults on a variety of issues, including; depression, anxiety, fluctuating mood, emotional turmoil, significant life transitions, loss of identity, alcohol and drug use, bereavement, grief and loss, childhood trauma, parenting, and relationship issues. 

My varied experience, knowledge and skills will be used to support you to safely explore your inner world, reach your goals, achieve personal growth and transformation.  

Practice description

My philosophy is simple, yet effective. By talking and feeling we heal! We will discover your true thoughts and feelings; we will be curious about your behaviours and difficulties. Our work together will provide you with deep insight and self-awareness, develop your confidence and self-worth, bring you clarity and focus. 

I will offer you a space to pause, take a breath, be heard, and supported - free from judgment. You will have my undivided attention, respect, care, and transparency. 

My practice is grounded in the person-centered approach. I am also well informed with regards to other perspectives, and value their contributions in my practice. I believe it is important for my intervention to be flexible and bespoke to meet your unique needs.



My first session

Reaching out can feel scary and takes lots of courage. I offer a free 20-minute consultation, where we can talk about what is going on for you and what you would like to get from therapy. I will share a little about my practice and we can see if we are a good fit. Most importantly, I can put your worries at ease.
