About me and my therapy practice

Hello I’m Aedemur. Thank you for visiting my page.

We all face our unique journey and encounter struggles in life which can sometimes feel overwhelming. Counselling can offer a supportive space, one that is warm, non-judgemental and confidential - where you can explore these difficulties with care and understanding. I believe you already possess many of the inner resources needed to navigate these challenges.

My goal is to work collaboratively with you, helping you to make sense of of your experiences so that you can clarify the issues you face and deepen your understanding of yourself. This process can open the door to positive transformation and personal growth.

I am experienced in helping people with issues of stress, anxiety, self-esteem, anger, people pleasing, childhood trauma, abuse, depression, relationship problems, personal development, grief, loss, and mood and personality disorders.

I specialise in Integrative-Relational counselling, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches such as Psychodynamic, Person Centred, Internal Family Systems and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This flexible approach allows us to tailor our work together to meet your individual needs.

I am a graduate of Middlesex University with a BA (Hons) in Integrative-Relational Counselling and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

Practice description

Choosing a counsellor can be daunting and I believe it’s important to have the right “fit” for you. I strongly believe the relationship between client and counsellor is an important part of our work. I offer an initial 15 minute telephone conversation free of charge and obligation so that we can establish how we might work together. We can then select one of the ways below that suit your needs best.
