About me and my therapy practice

As well as a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, I bring an unconventional realness, humour, warmth, and understanding to our sessions.

When life is too much for you to process alone, counselling can help you restore balance. Wherever you're at right now, let's start making sense of it together. I offer a warm, informal (swearing completely fine here) and grounded presence where you can just be yourself. Together, we can explore ways that empower you to move forwards, whatever that looks like for you.

Who I work with

I support men and women of all ages and a diverse range of issues including depression, anger, anxiety, CPTSD, trauma, shame, historic abuse, self esteem, emotional dysregulation, gender, LGBTQ+, purpose & meaning, sexuality, neurodiversity (autism & ADHD both diagnosed and self-reported), loneliness, relationships with parents, substance use and process addictions (i.e. porn).

Sessions

Sessions are 60 minutes and weekly to begin with.

Types of therapy

As an integrative counsellor I weave together a variety of approaches including person centered counselling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, parts work (IFS informed), neuroscience, Gestalt, neurobiology, somatic approaches and compassion based therapies. Together, they bring a unique flavour to our therapeutic conversations underpinned by realness, warmth, care and understanding.

I can work via phone call, Zoom, Google Meeting, or Whatsapp video.

My background

Prior to training as a counsellor, I was a remedial massage therapist for 9 years. Working with over 1200 clients over thousands of hours honed my skills of empathy and creating a safe space for clients to unwind and integrate body and mind.

In my spare time, I'm a dog dad, a keen reader of psychology books and enjoy weightlifting, beaches, forest and getting out on Dartmoor.

My first session

I offer a 20 minute introductory Zoom call to help you work out if we're a good fit before you decide to book a first session.
