About me and my therapy practice

Wherever you're at right now, let's start making sense of it together. 

Offering a warm, informal and grounded presence, this is your space and time to focus on the thoughts, feelings and behaviours coming up for you. 

As an integrative counsellor I weave together a variety of approaches including person centered counselling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, parts work (IFS informed), neuroscience, Gestalt, neurobiology, somatic approaches and compassion based therapies. Together, they bring a unique flavour to our therapeutic conversations. 

How do you know if I'm the right counsellor for you? Well, let's talk. I offer a 15 minute fee free chat so we can both get a feel about whether the fit might right.

How does my approach work?

I have an implicit trust in your power, your choice and your ability to grow and change over time.

You will be deeply valued as a whole human being, not a reductive collection of symptoms or behaviours.

Together, we can recognise that life can be painful and uncertain whilst appropriately honouring losses, as well as giving positive expression to grief, anger, resentment, powerlessness and rage.

I use neuroscience and neurobiology to inform my practise, such as understanding the dopamine reward system and how that relates to our behaviours including process addictions such as porn and gaming addiction. 

I have a perspective that creates space for all the parts of you (even the ones you hate), helping you improve your relationship with yourself and developing a spirit of self-acceptance and nurture which is the foundation for change.

I understand that traumatic experiences can leave us feeling fragmented, and with a journey of recovering and bringing those parts of ourselves back together.

At the end of the day, my aim is that our therapy sessions produce real and meaningful conversations about the things that really matter to you, walking by your side to witness and help you process your experience better. 

If all of that seems a bit complex to understand, don’t worry. All you have to do is choose a counsellor who just feels like a good fit for you. That’s all.

My first session

I offer an introductory session for £30 after we've had a 15 minute chat to work out if we're the right fit for each other.
