About me and my therapy practice
As an integrative psychotherapist, I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space for individuals to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. With a holistic approach, I draw upon various therapeutic modalities to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs and goals.
My integrative approach combines elements of humanistic, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based therapies. I work collaboratively with clients to:
- Identify and challenge patterns and beliefs that contribute to distress
- Develop self-awareness and self-acceptance
- Cultivate emotional regulation and resilience
- Foster personal growth and empowerment
I believe that every individual possesses the capacity for growth, healing, and transformation. My role is to provide a supportive and guiding presence, empowering clients to tap into their inner strength and wisdom.
Practice description
As an integrative therapist I help my clients:
1. Address multiple aspects of a client's experience, such as thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships
2. Foster a deeper understanding of the client's inner world and external circumstances
3. Develop a more comprehensive treatment plan that honors the client's autonomy and individuality
4. Adapt to the client's changing needs and circumstances
I prioritise:
1. Building a strong therapeutic relationship
2. Creating a safe and non-judgmental space for exploration and growth
3. Empowering clients to take an active role in their healing process
4. Fostering self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-compassion
By embracing the complexity and uniqueness of each client, I can help individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges and cultivate greater overall well-being.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity for us to meet, establish a comfortable therapeutic relationship, and begin exploring your concerns. Here's what you can expect:
- We'll start with a brief introduction and overview of the therapeutic process.
- I'll ask you to share your reasons for seeking therapy, including any specific challenges or goals you'd like to address.
- We'll discuss your personal history, including any relevant experiences or relationships that may be impacting your current situation.
- I'll explain my approach, answer any questions you may have, and inform you of confidentiality guidelines.
- Together, we'll outline a preliminary plan for our work together, including frequency of sessions and communication outside of sessions.
- Any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss
- A list of your goals or reasons for seeking therapy
- Any relevant documents or information (e.g., previous therapy notes, medical history)
My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to express yourself freely. Please feel comfortable sharing as much or as little as you'd like, and don't hesitate to ask questions or seek clarification at any time.
Remember, the first session is just the beginning of our journey together. I'm here to support and guide you every step of the way.
