About me and my therapy practice
BACP Registered Counsellor – Reading, Henley and Wallingford
Finding the right therapist is an important first step on your journey, and I understand how personal this choice can be. I offer therapeutic counselling within a supportive and confidential space for you to explore whatever you bring at your own pace. My approach is relational to help clients gain a deeper awareness and develop healthier ways of coping in both personal and professional areas of life. No matter what brings a person to therapy, I believe that with the right kind of environment, we all have the ability to grow and change.
Some of my clients come with past and present life experiences, sensing painful habitual patterns that may feel hard to break. Others are seeking a non-judgemental, confidential space to explore their thoughts and feelings. Some are looking to embark on a journey of exploration that will allow them to grow and find a richer, more fulfilling way of being in the world. My clients are free to speak about their whole self without fear of judgment or prejudice based on lifestyle, colour, race, gender, religious or non-religious beliefs
Practice description
I practice an integrative model of therapy, centred around humanistic principles. This means my work is driven by the belief that every individual has the innate capacity for growth, self-healing, and positive change. I emphasise the importance of the therapeutic relationship, creating a supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, enabling meaningful exploration and discovery.
My approach may include elements of cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness practices, and experiential techniques, all grounded in a humanistic framework that prioritises your personal and unique experiences. Together, we can work towards uncovering insights, developing healthier coping strategies, and fostering emotional resilience.
My first session
Each session lasts 50 minutes, and I offer flexible options, including in-person, online, and walking therapy. I work with individuals -adults and young people alike— providing both short-term and long-term therapy tailored to your specific needs.
The first step is a complimentary phone consultation, where we can discuss your needs and explore how we might work together. This is a chance for you to get a sense of me and help you decide if I am the right person to journey with.
If you prefer not to discuss things over the phone, you are welcome to contact me by email
