About me and my therapy practice
Seeking counselling can be daunting, especially when looking for help at a particularly tough time. You may be feeling stuck, lost, isolated and alone.
I'm a qualified Integrative Counsellor, and I draw from various therapeutic approaches to tailor my support to your unique needs. As a registered member of the BACP, I follow their professional standards to ensure the best care for you. I know that finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, no matter why you're seeking counselling—whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, grief, loss or just feeling "stuck." I'm here to offer you a warm, supportive space where your story can be heard, with your safety and confidentiality always a priority.
Our past experiences shape how we see the world and impact our relationships and daily lives. I understand that these experiences are deeply personal, and I'm here to help you make sense of them in a way that feels right for you.
My main goal is to create a safe, calm, and non-judgmental space where you can truly be yourself and explore your thoughts and feelings freely. This environment is meant to build trust and acceptance, so you can dive into your inner world without fear of criticism or judgment. Through counselling, you can experience many positive changes—like gaining a clearer understanding of yourself, becoming more compassionate and open-minded, building emotional resilience, and learning to navigate change with greater ease.

My first session
I understand that it can be challenging to take that first step and reach out for support. In order to make this process as smooth as possible I offer a callback and a free in person/online first session/assessment (50 mins). The relationship between therapist and client is as important to the success of therapy as the type of therapy chosen, that is why this first session is a great way of seeing if we are a good fit to work together. If not, I am more than happy to refer you on to another therapist.
If you decide to start counselling our first session will be a gentle introduction. It is an opportunity to talk about any concerns or anxieties you may have about the counselling process. We will discuss what it is you would like to bring to counselling and your goals for therapy. I will gather some personal information about you and together we will talk about how we might work together. We will also agree a working contract which I will ask you to sign.
Should you choose to go ahead with counselling we will find a mutually convenient time for counselling sessions to begin.
