About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Jared. I am an Integrative Counsellor who works from a relational perspective. This means that my counselling practice is based around an understanding of the interrelated and often multilayered nature of human experience. I combine this with an interest in how we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us today and in our past.
Our experience of life is affected by a wide range of factors and influences personal to us. Valuing this uniqueness guides my core belief that therapy should not take a one size fits all approach.
As an MA qualified Integrative Counsellor, I am able to draw upon my knowledge of different forms of counselling to provide a therapeutic space, that would be carefully tailored to support you, as we work together towards your goals.
If you are finding life challenging, feeling lost, alone, anxious, sad or perhaps angry. I can offer a safe and supportive space, in which we can explore any issue that is important to you.
Practice description
Most of us will face times in our lives where we experience unwanted thoughts and emotions, that may leave us feeling overwhelmed, disconnected and unable to cope. In these moments it can be daunting to reach out to seek help, but I believe that within that courage lies the strength to begin the journey towards a different future.
By placing a genuine focus on providing a warm, open and non-judgemental space, where the people I meet can feel heard, valued and respected. We can begin to develop a strong and positive therapeutic relationship, where we are able to work together to support you in exploring your needs and help you reconnect with yourself and the world around you.
I run an inclusive and neurodivergent aware practice, that is open and supportive to all. I have experience of working with a diverse client base and a wide range of issues.
My style is non-directive and person-centred, which means that I work collaboratively with you and the issues that you choose, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
As an insured practitioner with an enhanced DBS certificate, I am ethically committed to providing the most therapeutic experience that I can to everyone. I work sensitively with trauma and all forms of anxiety and have undertaken further training to be able to offer “Walk and Talk” sessions during daylight hours.
