About me and my therapy practice
Welcome, I’m Natalie. I appreciate how many profiles there are out there, so thank you for taking the time to read mine.
I am an experienced counsellor providing one to one sessions for adults, both in person and online. I am an integrative therapist which means I tailor each session for you as an individual and draw upon a range of modalities to suit your needs. I see clients with a broad range of presenting issues but I specialise in working with Anxiety, Depression, Post-partum mothers and Trauma.
Are you feeling Overwhelmed? Anxious? Low mood? Stressed? Feeling like this can be debilitating and can lead to a feeling of stuckness. It can affect your behaviours, your sleep and your overall health and well-being. This can often lead to being stuck in the same patterns of behaviour and this can feel exhausting.
You may have experienced trauma which has left you feeling dysregulated and unsafe. You may be feeling hyper-vigilant and tense, or the opposite, and feeling very low and numb to life. You may be unable to function and live life in the way you want to. This can be really distressing and can make you feel alone.
I believe that everyone is unique and I aim to understand you and help you on your therapy journey. Everyone has the right to be seen, heard and understood as unique individuals. Therapy is not a ‘one size fits all’ process and I appreciate how difficult it can be sometimes to reach out for help.
I pride myself on my ability to connect with my clients and think my intuition as a therapist is one of my core strengths. I will be alongside you as we navigate what might be troubling you and keeping you ‘stuck’ in particular patterns of behaviour or relational dynamics.
You might be managing to function but struggling to cope with life. I can offer you a warm, non-judgemental and empathetic space to express yourself with someone whose life and relationships are separate from yours.
Practice description
I believe in working with the whole person both past, present and future to help identify your emotional needs. Part of your therapy journey will involve really getting to know your true self and this can be both challenging and positively revelatory.
It is from this place of greater self-awareness that you can be supported in making changes that align with what is important to you and that honour the unique person you are.
Life can be challenging and even with the support of family and friends, we can still feel very much alone. This can feed into us feeling disconnected from others and ourselves. I will guide you to reconnect with yourself and others which can lead to a greater life fulfilment.
I offer weekly sessions both in person and online or telephone. My private practice is located in a Brinkworth (a village just outside Swindon but also accessible from Chippenham and the M4).
Please visit my website for more information about me and the way I work. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation for us to briefly connect and see if we might be a good fit. You can call, message or email me and I will aim to get back to you as soon as possible.
My first session
The first session will be 50 minutes long and it involves an initial assessment. This is where I will take a summary of your current and past mental health, along with details of your goals for therapy.
It is also an opportunity for you to ask me any questions about how I work and what to expect from the therapy process.
