About me and my therapy practice
My motivation to train as a counsellor grew from my own experience with therapy. During a time when I felt as though everything in my life was unravelling, I was fortunate to receive the support I needed just when I needed it most. Through counselling, I gained a clearer perspective and a deeper understanding of myself, which allowed me to turn my life around. This transformative experience inspired me to help others find their own path to living authentically and making meaningful changes in their lives.
Embarking on the counselling journey can be significant, demonstrating your commitment to personal growth. To help you take this step, I offer a valuable 20-minute telephone call and a reduced rate for the first session. This is an opportunity for you to express your counselling goals, ask any questions, and see if you would like us to work together.
I offer flexible therapy tailored to fit into your schedule. In addition to face-to-face counselling, I offer online and telephone counselling, where you can access professional therapeutic support from the comfort of your own space at a time that suits you.
Sessions last for 50 minutes and are either long- or short-term - please visit my website for more information.
Practice description
My non-directive counselling approach creates a safe, confidential, and empathic space for you to explore and understand the challenges in your life. This approach empowers you to find solutions and make the changes you desire without pressure or judgment.
I trained as a person-centred counsellor, although I may integrate to fit your requirements.
To offer my clients the best possible service, I focus on self-improvement by continuing my professional development (CPD) and attending regular supervision.
I currently volunteer as a counsellor at St Peter & St James Hospice, working with people who are bereaved, terminally ill, carers, and the families affected. I also volunteered as a Samaritan, supporting people in a crisis for over two years. In both of these environments, I have worked with a range of issues.
