I am available for face-to face meetings Tuesday evening 6-8pm, also Fridays 10am-6pm. I have more availability for Online appointments, please contact me for information.
About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Counsellor. I am also a qualified Hypnotherapist. These approaches can be used separately or together, and we will discuss the best approach for you. Everyone is unique and each session is tailored to the individual.
I work face-to-face and Online. This allows me to connect to people who may not be able (or choose) to meet in person, and in my opinion both work equally as well.
I offer a free short telephone consultation, prior to booking an appointment. If we decide to go ahead, I will email you some information about confidentiality and a contract, which you are welcome to read in advance of your first appointment.
Practice description
I am friendly and open. I offer a calm, nurturing space to help you relax and explore whatever issues you bring to your session. We can build on our work week by week, or we can look at brief solution focussed therapy, which can be as short as a one-off session. For ongoing therapy, I may suggest a certain amount of sessions, so that you have an idea, but we review our work as we go along and can adjust this as needed. We all need some help from time to time and seeking out Counselling or Hypnotherapy can seem daunting. I want you to feel comfortable working with me, even if we have uncomfortable issues to explore.
My first session
The first contact is usually by phone, or Online for a brief introduction and I can answer any questions you may have. This usually lasts about 15 minutes and there is no charge for this. If we decide to work together an appointment will be made. Your first session will usually be settling in and exploring your reasons for coming to Counselling or Hypnotherapy. We are getting to know each other and formulating a way forward for our work together. I may suggest some work for you to do at home, but this is not compulsory, it is to help embed our work together.
