About me and my therapy practice
Life can sometimes can sometimes throw us off course, we may find ourselves feeling lost, feeling broken or disconnected from life and loved ones.
It could be that you find yourselves in a downward spiral of overthinking, overwhelmed with anxiety or procrastinating from your to do list.
You might have noticed that you have never been able to ask for help or delegate jobs as for some reason it feels selfish and uneasy to have your own needs met.
You find conflict in work so stressful and overwhelming that it feels like the only option is to go along with what other want.
Reality is you are bogged down, unhappy, in a constant state of exhaustion from pretending that everything is okay.
You might wish to be more present in your everyday life, feel more grounded, find joy and motivation in what once brought you passion.
You may wish to explore and regulate your emotions in a way that you feel seen and heard.
It could be that you want to change your behaviours within your family dynamic or figure out how to hold boundaries.
You might want to come to therapy to change how you think about yourself.
It could be that you’ve noticed you’ve been struggling to fall asleep, replaying awkward situations or memories in your head with phrases like, ‘I should have…’ or ‘If only I was/did this instead..’
It's important to take time for ourselves to rebalance – mind, body and soul to help us reconnect to our true authentic selves.
Whatever your reason for counselling, I would love to work with you to figure out who you are, what makes you feel fulfilled to live your authentic life.
Practice description
You are worthy. You are enough. You matter and you deserve to feel heard. It is important to have a counsellor who can see that in you, (even if you can’t see it yourself).
My commitment to you is to help you feel comfortable to be honest with yourself and me. I am here to listen to your story, be present and hold you in your healing journey.
I will support you to recognise your problems, reconnect with parts of yourself, regulate your emotions, realise your choices of behaviours and rebalance yourself.
I truly believe that real change and growth happen through the bond and connection I create with my clients. I'll be with you and stand by your side during those difficult moments.
I'm dedicated to helping you navigate your vulnerabilities with compassion. I will provide a safe haven where you can be yourself without judgement or telling you what to do.
My aim is to empower you to make positive changes to become the best possible version of yourself.
My first session
Step 1: Book a discovery call or reach out
I will offer a free 20 minute discovery session to see whether you feel like my way of counselling and to see if its suited to your needs. This time aIso allows me to answer any questions you may have.
There is no obligation to commit to sessions there and then! In fact I encourage you to shop around us counsellors to find the best fit for you and your needs.
Step 2: Book your initial assessment session
If you decide you would like to proceed after your discovery session, I will email you a copy of our working agreement going forwards. This will outline how we will work together, confidentiality, as well as information and policies.
During our assessment session, we will discuss the working agreement, explore your reasons for seeking therapy, your aims and how we can work together for what best suits you. I will ask a few questions about your history to help me understand a bit more of who you are as a person and what your aims for our sessions together might be.
This session allows you to get a sense of who I am as a counsellor and if I am the best counsellor for you. If I feel that you may benefit working with a counsellor with more specialist knowledge, I will do my best to find someone more suited to your needs.
Hopefully by the end of this session you will feel comfortable that we have worked in collaboration on a way of working together going forward.
All subsequent sessions will cost £45 and last for 50 minutes.
