About me and my therapy practice
Life is difficult sometimes and managing thoughts, feelings, or situations without support can be overwhelming. I believe that establishing a safe, trusting and respectful relationship is vital to successful counselling. My aim is to offer you a warm, empathetic, non-judgmental space and relationship that allows you to feel heard, understood, and empowered.
As an integrative-relational counsellor, I use a variety of approaches which allows me to tailor my approach to best support you, your experiences, and your needs. I appreciate the importance of past events, and how these may be impacting you today. By exploring your past, as well as the here and now, I aim to help you gain understanding, empowering you to find your own solutions.
I have a BA (Hons) in Integrative-Relational Counselling, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their code of ethics, values and principles.
In addition to my private practice, I have been working as a counsellor in a charitable low-cost counselling organisation for a number of years. Prior to becoming a therapist, I gained many years experience in supportive roles and this is where I began to be drawn towards the field of counselling.
