About me and my therapy practice
Hello, it’s lovely to meet you.
Welcome to Inner Reach Therapy!
My name is Caroline and I am very pleased you have stopped by to visit my page.
I am a qualified counsellor and I have many years of supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges, low self-esteem, relationship and family problems as well as more complex issues such as domestic abuse and trauma.
I am also part of the counselling and therapy team at Kyra Women's Project, York and I facilitate the self-esteem course as well as providing general member support.
With a 30+ year background in farming and working in the rural community, I understand the issues faced when working and living in an isolated and demanding environment.
Whatever your background or circumstance, I am here to help and support you through your current mental health challenges...starting may seem like running a marathon but together we will begin those first few steps to help you on your way to better mental health.
(My counselling practice is neurodivergence and LGBTQQIA+ affirmative and I am aware at all times of my own and my clients unique differences.)

My first session
I am pleased to be able to invite you to an initial online consultation to allow us to 'meet'. In this 20-minute session, we will get to know a little more about each other. Should we both feel that our work will be beneficial, we can then set a regular appointment time either at my counselling room in Tower Court, York or online via Zoom.
"What will happen during our first counselling session?"
This will be for an hour and will allow me to discover more about you and what you want to get out of counselling. I will ask you to complete a contact form and we will go through an 'outcome and expectations' form together.
Our work together is collaborative and any goals or plans we set will always be driven by you.
