About me and my therapy practice

Why you might come and see me:

I am a warm and compassionate therapist and my aim is to be attuned to you and your unique situation. You may have an obvious goal or specific issue that you want to tackle, or you may just feel alone, unfulfilled, lost or struggling to find the right direction or purpose. People come to me who are struggling with relationships either at work or personally and I can help you take a closer look at what is going on. I also have a lot of experience working with people who are struggling with neuro-divergence (ASD.)

Some of the issues that clients have brought to me:

• Anxiety

• Depression

• Stress

• OCD behaviours

• Feeling lost and directionless

• Low self-esteem

• Relationship and friendship issues

• Parenting for the first time

• Parenting teenagers

• Going into older age

• Coping with Autism

• Creative block/performance anxiety

• Agoraphobia

I work in a relational way, creating a safe and confidential space in which you can explore your inner most feelings and emotions, piecing together historic events and looking at why some patterns of unhelpful behaviour may have developed in the present.

My aim is that you will discover more about yourself which will lead to personal growth and the power to effect change in your life. I can help you develop healthier coping strategies and foster a greater sense of inner peace.

I am a compassionate, empathic person and I am radically curios about my clients’ unique experiences. I celebrate diversity and my practice is inclusive and ethical.

You may wish to do short term therapy which might be 6 sessions, or we can do ongoing long-term work.

Practice description

If we work face to face in a room - you will come to see me in The Green House Rooms in Chiswick. These are light and airy rooms with lots of plants and a peaceful atmosphere. Our first session will be after a phone assessment, and we will further explore why you have come to therapy. Then we will usually agree to do further sessions - either a fixed amount or we will just see how we go. Whatever suits you best. I tend to go with my client's pace and direction and as we get to know each other I can start to build an idea of your patterns of behaviour and why you might be feeling a certain way. This work is done very much together with you leading the way. You are, at the end of the day, the expert on yourself.

My first session

I offer a free half hour phone call or zoom session for us to meet each other and to establish if you think you want to work with me and if I think I am the right person to work with you. The best care for you is my primary consideration. I will ask questions in this first half hour meeting and then if we decide to work together I can offer short or long-term therapy.
