About me and my therapy practice
I’m a fully qualified Level 7 BACP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor working in person (in Bristol) and online.
You may want to process a difficult experience, manage challenges you're facing in your daily life, come to terms with significant life changes, explore challenges in your relationships, or reconnect with yourself and explore what you want from life. You may not be experiencing any of the above, but feel the pull towards therapy and what it may be able to offer. Whatever your circumstances and reasons for seeking therapy, I will offer a warm and compassionate space for you to explore your experience and experiment with a new way of relating to yourself, your relationships, and your environment.
I believe passionately in the potential for the increased awareness and self-acceptance that grows in therapy to help people overcome life's challenges. I may offer reflections, insights, challenges, and experiments to help you explore your experience; I will always encourage you to weigh up any invitation and consider how useful it feels to you. This process, over time, will help us develop a way of working that meets your needs.
I have worked with people around anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, depression, bereavement, personality disorder diagnosis, relationship issues, career issues, burn out, historic trauma, and many other experiences.
I believe therapy has the potential to benefit everyone. I welcome and work with people of all life stages, sexual orientations, gender identities, and cultural backgrounds.
If you’re interested in working together, I offer a free, no-commitment call as an initial step. Beginning therapy can be daunting and all questions about the process are welcome.
Practice description
From training integratively, I have a range of therapeutic techniques that may be helpful in deepening awareness and exploring issues. For example, working with parts of self, attending to bodily sensations and somatic responses, using experiments, and using creative mediums for expression.
I will always offer such interventions as invitations, encouraging you to consider how possible or useful such things feel.
My first session
I suggest that as an initial step we meet for a free-of-charge initial call. This allows you to get a sense of how I work and ask any questions you might have.
