Holly Gellatley is a qualified Integrative Therapist, working in private practice online and in-person at The Awareness Centre in Clapham. She holds an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling and is a registered member of the BACP. She works relationally, using different modalities including Psychodynamic, Person Centred, Transactional Analysis and CBT.
About me and my therapy practice
Holly has experience of working with adults of all ages and diverse backgrounds. She works with a range of different issues, including relationships, family issues, trauma, suicide, bereavement and loss, self-esteem, stress, illness, life transitions, pregnancy and childbirth, adoption and neurodiversity. Recognising that everyone is unique, she works in an integrative way, drawing on a range of modalities within her therapeutic work, to suit the needs of each individual client.
We all have difficult times in our lives; however, we may not know exactly why we feel a certain way or how best to cope. Holly provides a warm and safe space where she welcomes, listens and supports all her clients without judgement. Central to Holly’s work is building a trusting relationship, working alongside her clients so that together they can explore these concerns and try to bring about any changes they may wish to make. She believes that everyone deserves to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, and it is through this process of gaining greater insight and clarity that her clients can focus on more positive thoughts and actions.
Practice description
Prior to counselling, Holly studied social anthropology and journalism. She worked as a broadcast journalist in news and current affairs at both the BBC and LBC for many years and later as a TEFL teacher for immigrants and refugees.
