About me and my therapy practice
Hi there, I’m Geri! I’m a Registered Psychotherapist and Coach with a passion for helping people rediscover their inner strength and take charge of their lives.
I hold a Master’s Level qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Positive Psychology. I helping people tackle the challenges life throws at them—whether it’s anxiety, stress, low confidence, or unhelpful habits that keep holding them back. I know life isn’t always easy, and sometimes we just need a safe space to figure things out. My work blends therapeutic insight with practical, forward-focused approaches to help you not just heal, but thrive.
What I offer help with.
I work with people who are experiencing crisis and difficulty in their daily lives or relationships. This might be due to anxiety, depression, or a specific life challenge that’s making it hard to enjoy life, work, or personal relationships, or even to cope day-to-day.
Many of my clients come to counselling because of relationship difficulties, including family relationships, the impact of trauma, or the pain of a breakup or loss. These challenges can feel overwhelming and deeply affecting, often leaving you unsure of where to turn.
Practice description
How I can help?
Whatever issues you are struggling with at this moment I can offer you a warm, open, non-judgemental space so that you can have time to reflect on your life and your choices and options.
The key in therapy is in the relationship between you and the counsellor and the trust that is built up over time and it can be a very rewarding experience and lead to a greater self-awareness and changes in your life, so life is happier and more fulfilled.
My Approach
I work in a personalised way with each client, focusing on what you want to achieve and what you hope to gain from your sessions.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time. During our initial assessment, we’ll discuss your needs and decide on an approach that works best for you. This might involve a set number of sessions to address a specific issue or longer-term therapy for deeper, long-standing challenges.
The aim is to create a supportive space where you feel understood and can make meaningful progress at your own pace.

Combining Person-Centred Therapy and Positive Psychology
Person-centred therapy focuses on creating a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel understood and valued. Positive psychology enhances this by promoting well-being and helping clients build on their strengths.
By integrating these approaches, therapists can help clients not only address their challenges but also thrive and reach their full potential. This combined approach encourages self-reflection, intrinsic motivation, and the development of positive qualities like resilience and optimism.
Therapists can create a holistic and empowering practice by:
Building strong, empathetic relationships.
Focusing on clients' strengths and well-being.
Encouraging self-reflection and personal growth.
Helping clients set and achieve positive goals.
This integration supports clients in overcoming difficulties and living more fulfilling lives.
Contact me today to learn how you can start to integrate some of these principles into your own practice.
