About me and my therapy practice

You are the person at the centre.

Are you feeling stuck or unfulfilled? You may have experienced significant changes and feel overwhelmed.

Perhaps you could benefit from support to unpick and understand your specific challenges.

It can be difficult to articulate your feelings or share your thoughts with those close to you, leaving you feeling alone in dealing with things.

During our sessions, you will find a relaxed, safe, and confidential environment. Together, we can explore your current situation, discover the changes you want to make, and establish the foundations to make those changes a reality.

My goal is to gently guide you to creating a greater sense of well-being and personal growth.

You will be heard without judgment, in a place where you can be your authentic self and feel supported at every step.

Together, we can navigate your challenges and work towards a more balanced and confident you.

Client Testimonials

'Exceptional & Inspirational service, I have benefitted more than I can say from an empathic, challenging and innovative approach that's enabled me to work on myself and take control of making things better"

"The space you have given me to just be myself has been everything”

Practice description

Sessions can be either online, telephone or face to face in a tranquil, private setting at Rudyard Lake, Staffordshire, with ample free secure parking.

I have helped clients with a variety of issues, understanding that each client has their own unique problems, contexts, and circumstances that I respond to differently. Therefore, I am a strong advocate for a flexible approach. As an integrative counsellor, I employ a variety of methods and techniques to meet everyone's needs.

I utilise various modalities such as Humanistic, Person-Centred, CBT, Transactional Analysis, IFS, ACT Therapy, Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Everyone deserves to be heard and to be their true selves. My goal is to support and collaborate with you to develop a better awareness of yourself, improve your well-being, and enhance your relationships with others.

Whatever your reason for exploring therapy, I provide a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential space for you to delve into issues and experiences that are important or challenging.

By sharing experiences, voicing feelings, and working with me, I aim to guide you through both the difficult and enlightening moments of therapy. This process empowers you to make positive changes and live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

As a Registered Member of BACP, I adhere to their code of ethics to maintain a high standard of therapeutic practice.

My first session

Before we start, we’ll have a quick chat over the phone or zoom. This gives you a chance to tell me a bit about yourself, what you’re hoping to achieve, and ask any questions.

If you decide to move forward, we’ll schedule our first session, there’s a bit of paperwork to complete, and I’m happy to answer any questions you might have. I recommend an extended initial consultation of 1.5 hours (+£15) for more therapeutic benefit, but it’s not necessary.

I’ll get to know you better and understand more about what you’re looking to achieve and you can see if the session feels right for you. My hope is that You’ll leave feeling supported and confident in our therapeutic relationship.

Reach out by phone or email to set up a convenient time. Let’s work together to improve your well-being.

Practice description

Combining Person-Centred Therapy and Positive Psychology

Person-centred therapy focuses on creating a supportive, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel understood and valued. Positive psychology enhances this by promoting well-being and helping clients build on their strengths.

By integrating these approaches, therapists can help clients not only address their challenges but also thrive and reach their full potential. This combined approach encourages self-reflection, intrinsic motivation, and the development of positive qualities like resilience and optimism.

Therapists can create a holistic and empowering practice by:

Building strong, empathetic relationships.

Focusing on clients' strengths and well-being.

Encouraging self-reflection and personal growth.

Helping clients set and achieve positive goals.

This integration supports clients in overcoming difficulties and living more fulfilling lives.

Contact me today to learn how you can start to integrate some of these principles into your own practice.
