About me and my therapy practice

Feeling isolated, stuck, numb, or in distress? Are past experiences affecting your current connections? Are close relationships lacking depth or intimacy, or repeating unhealthy patterns? Counselling can help address these challenges.

Whatever brings you here, I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. I offer a safe, judgment-free space where you will be met with respect, care, and authenticity. Together, we’ll create a supportive environment for you to explore your inner world, deepen your self-awareness, and address the roots of difficult emotions and thoughts. Our work together will help you understand and change unhelpful patterns, empowering you to live a more fulfilling and positive life.

Many of us carry beliefs about ourselves from childhood, which often shape our adult behaviours. These beliefs can be self-limiting, leading to feelings of shame or discomfort and causing us to rely on defence mechanisms that temporarily manage difficult emotions. I can help you look beneath the surface to examine and release these limiting beliefs, reframe unhelpful thoughts, and develop new ways of relating to yourself.

I view counselling as an explorative, dynamic and empowering process where we’ll work together to make sense of your experiences and cultivate personal growth by establishing new, helpful ways of thinking and communicating. I believe that a positive therapeutic relationship between us is essential for meaningful progress, and I place this at the core of my practice.

Practice description

One of the primary goals of therapy is to deepen our understanding of how we relate to others and how these relational patterns affect our mental and emotional well-being. In our sessions, we will take a collaborative approach, working together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through this process, we will identify patterns that may be influencing your relationships and overall emotional health. By reflecting on both current challenges and past experiences, we will develop new ways of relating to others and, ultimately, gain a deeper understanding of yourself. To take on the challenge of living a more authentic life.

I am a BACP-registered counsellor (MBACP), qualified in Humanistic and Psychodynamic Integrative Counselling, and I work with clients of all ages, including children and young people.
