About me and my therapy practice
Welcome! My name is Jill Malcolm and I am a dedicated practitioner specialising in person-centred therapy. I am committed to providing a supportive and empathetic environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment.
Person-centred therapy, developed by Carl Rogers, emphasises the importance of creating a therapeutic environment that fosters self-discovery and personal growth. Central to this approach are the core conditions of empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard. These principles guide my practice and ensure that every client feels heard, understood, and valued.
I strive to deeply understand your experiences and perspectives, providing a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can freely express yourself.
Authenticity is key in our sessions. I maintain transparency and honesty, creating a genuine therapeutic relationship where trust can flourish.
Regardless of your challenges or background, I offer acceptance and respect. My goal is to support you in recognising your inherent worth and potential.
I work with individuals facing a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. My practice is inclusive, welcoming clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Thank you for considering my practice. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your path to self-discovery and growth.
