About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am Sarah. Choosing the right therapist can feel overwhelming, and I understand how important it is to feel comfortable with the person guiding you. Here’s a little about me and how I work.
I am trained in both Humanistic/Person-Centred therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), allowing me to tailor my approach specifically to your needs. Whether you're looking for a safe, non-judgmental space to talk through life challenges or need someone to listen and offer support, I can help.
In a Person-Centred approach, I provide a warm, empathetic space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely. My gentle, compassionate approach will support you in finding your own path and understanding your emotions.
If you're seeking a more structured, goal-oriented approach, CBT might be a great fit. I will work with you to identify practical solutions and strategies, helping you manage day-to-day challenges and reach your goals. CBT is recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for treating conditions like anxiety and depression. Together, we’ll focus on the present and explore how past experiences may shape your thinking and behaviour, allowing you to create lasting change and develop the tools to manage your mental health effectively.
With training in both CBT and the Humanistic approach, I offer tailored care to suit your unique needs. I'm here to support you on your journey, no matter what it looks like. Together, we can find the right approach that works best for you, helping you navigate life’s challenges and move towards positive change.
Practice description
I currently work effectively with clients online, and can offer this approach if it suits you. However, I understand that online therapy may not be for everyone. For those who prefer in-person sessions, I provide a safe, private space in my home, with toilet facilities and available parking.
Additionally, for clients who enjoy being outdoors, I offer walk-and-talk therapy, providing a unique opportunity to connect in nature.
My first session
I believe finding the right therapist to accompany you on your journey is crucial. That's why I offer a free call or online meet where you can ask any questions and determine if I'm the right fit for you. During this time, I'll also learn more about you and what you would like to achieve from therapy.
