About me and my therapy practice

I am a Pluralistic Therapist who integrates elements of Humanistic, Psychodynamic and CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) approaches. Additionally, along with Life Coaching services. My sessions are tailored to meet your unique needs. By employing a blended approach, we can uncover and explore potential subconscious blocks and their origins that may be contributing to negative emotions. Together, we will work towards identifying and achieving your positive life goals and supportive change.

As Shakespeare eloquently expressed in Hamlet: "There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so." My aim is to empower you to lead a life that is more peaceful, content, and fulfilling.

I conduct sessions in both English and German (Ich verstehe auch Schwizerdütsch 😃!)

We have all experienced our own individual journeys through life, and those unique journeys have molded us, shaped and influenced us, providing many lasting memories be they good or bad. I have myself been lucky to have lived and worked in many different countries which opened my eyes to different cultures and environments and taught me importantly a need to understand differences within cultures and individuals.

The first step to self awareness is to acknowledge your own needs, listen to your heart and start within yourself. To demonstrate my commitment to your wish, let me gift you a free initial 15 minute consultation to accompany you on your amazing journey and give you a chance to find out if I'm the right confidante you can build rapport with.

I'm based in London W10 for in person sessions. I also offer online & telephone support. If you love the outdoors, we can meet in a park in the area (e.g. Regents Park, Primrose Hill or Hampstead Heath) for walk and talk therapy.

My first session

In the initial session we focus on creating a foundation of trust between you and me. It is a chance to get to know each other and find out if I'm the right therapist for your needs. Bombard me with questions!

I will explain the confidentiality policy and any boundaries related to the therapeutic process. 

We will discuss what you hope to achieve through our sessions and set goals for them. You'll have an opportunity to talk about your experiences, feelings and concerns. It's ok if it feels emotional - therapy can be intense at times. 'Making the unfamiliar, familiar'.

I will forward you my assessment form and contract after our initial chat, which you can bring to our first session. We will look together at your background, relevant life events, and any relevant medical or psychological history.

Depending on your needs, we might discuss coping mechanisms, resources, and strategies for managing difficulties.

You will learn about the frequency and duration of therapy sessions and how to handle missed or cancelled appointments.

Remember, that therapy is a process, and the first session marks the beginning of a journey towards self-discovery, healing and personal growth!
