About me and my therapy practice

I provide a supportive and nurturing environment where we can work together to explore your concerns and hopes for therapy. I aim to create a collaborative relationship where clients feel comfortable to open up and know that they will be treated with empathy and respect.

Life can be hard at times - it is my desire to support you in navigating through life's transitions and challenges.

I am experienced in working with adults who may be experiencing anxiety, depression/low mood, bereavement, loss of purpose & direction in life and work-related stress. My work in supporting others with bereavement has led me to create a free self-help course in managing grief.

My therapy is a blend of counselling and coaching skills. I also have a broad background in the world of HR and career coaching and can help you with work/career issues that often spill over into our personal lives.

I know that you want to feel good again soon and start living your life more joyfully and I can help you to break free of negative thought and behaviour patterns and to support and gently challenge you to make positive and sustainable changes in your life through learning new coping skills.

Between the sessions, you should expect to be given some activities to carry out so that you can start to embed new, positive behaviours over the weeks we are working together and beyond. Often it's the work that's carried out between the sessions that is the most powerful!

I largely draw upon CBT therapy & coaching techniques and together, we will create realistic and achievable goals to help you to live the life you desire. This mode of therapy generally requires approximately 8-10 sessions.

Practice description

I have sole use of a private room at a centre in St Neots (near the station) which offers a waiting area and disabled access and toilets. Free on-street parking is available as well as paid-for parking.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute introductory session to discuss your needs and to find out if we are a good fit for each other. This is usually carried out by phone or online.
