I currently have availability for counselling sessions on a short or longer term basis on Tuesdays and Thursdays, during normal office hours.

I am able to take enquiries regarding an initial consultation by email and will respond to you as soon as possible.

About me and my therapy practice

As a trained Psychodynamic Psychotherapist I believe that thoughts and feelings can often be overwhelming and can seem impossible to manage at times. When we know why we think or feel a certain way it is easier to endure. However, often it is our past experience, early childhood, even inherited family trauma that can obscure our understanding and leave us feeling lost, confused or in pain.

Indeed the experience of being human requires the endless navigation of powerful emotions within us; love, anger, envy, loss. Feelings which society and culture might have us believe are easily negotiated, but which perhaps is rarely the case.

Through short and longer term therapy I offer the space and time to explore both the known and unknown parts of oneself, with a view to moving towards a better understanding and acceptance of your place in the world, and the reasons that might have brought you to seek counselling today.

I have experience of working with mental health and challenging behaviour for over 20 years, and my passion is working with and supporting people who have struggled with difficult emotions and life experiences so that we can think about them together and better understand them.

Practice description

I offer both face to face and online therapy, with a leaning towards the benefits of longer term work, which takes place in person.

I would aim to meet weekly, ideally in a face to face setting (currently with offices in Newbury, W Berks and West Hampstead, London) and recognise that consistent, regular work together is where the strength of psychodynamic therapy lies.

My first session

To request an initial consultation please email me directly and we can arrange a 30 minute meeting either online or on the telephone.

We will be able to discuss what has brought you to seek counselling, and whether the psychodynamic approach and I, as a therapist, are an appropriate fit for your needs. There will be no charge for this meeting.
