About me and my therapy practice
My background prior to training as a counsellor was in nursing and whilst satisfying on many levels did not allow time to address the psychological and emotional distress of patients. This motivated me to explore training as a counsellor and following many years gained a qualification in psychodynamic counselling.
Working together is an exploration of whatever might bring you to counselling and tends to take place over time as often more becomes available to understand and think about through our sessions. This way of working is client led- meaning it is not based around asking lots of questions but allows space to see what comes up and why it might be relevant now.
Practice description
My practice offers a safe and confidential space to explore whatever is on your mind. This could be anything from friendship/relationship struggles to a recent diagnosis or bereavement or a trauma from the past and any other challenges big or small.
It is useful to come for an initial consultation to us to get a sense of each other and what brings you to seek counselling at this time.
