About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative psychotherapist specialising in anxiety, depression and a loss of purpose and meaning, helping people to make lasting changes in their lives.
There are many reasons why you might be thinking about starting therapy. You may want to move through a period of depression, learn to cope better with anxiety, work on improving your self-esteem and having better relationships, or simply try to unpick the feeling that something in your life isn’t right and you’d like things to be different. If this sounds like something you might want to address then therapy can offer you something.
Practice description
Typically, people choose to meet once or twice a week, and in cases of more serious issues, more frequent sessions may be beneficial. I find that an initial meeting is especially helpful for you to talk through your concerns, allowing us to determine together what you might need and which approach would suit you best.
My first session
In our first few sessions we'll begin by discussing your symptoms and work out together what you want from therapy. We'll also begin to explore the underlying issues that may have contributed to them. One way to think about this is that therapy is a journey where we move from managing your symptoms to a place where we can creating meaningful change.
What I can help with
Addictions, Anxiety, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, Men's issues, Neurodiversity, Obsessions, Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sexual identity, Stress, Trauma, Work related issues
Types of therapy
Existential, Humanistic, Integrative, Psychoanalytic, Psychodynamic, Relational
Clients I work with
Adults, Trainees
How I deliver therapy
Long-term face-to-face work, Online therapy, Short-term face-to-face work
