About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP registered Integrative Therapist with experience working with the NHS (National Health Service) Talking Therapies and The Awareness Centre in South London, seeing a range of clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, eating disorders, work related stress, relationship difficulties and clients going through the grieving process.
I am particularly interested in personal growth through integration of the mind, body and spirit, or, in other words, integration of all parts of oneself.
In my search for this integration within myself, I discovered practices such as breathwork and conscious dance that helped me connect with my emotions through my body. I also find being in nature, whether walking or jogging, helps my mind rest and my body feel healthy. I believe our diet contributes to how we feel emotionally, and I am a trained nutritional therapist, having completed a 2-year diploma course with the Nutritional Healing Foundation.
II trained to become an integrative therapist so that I can help others to discover themselves and find ways to navigate through life with more contentment and confidence. I believe there is no one way that fits all and I offer the space for you to discover what could work for you, what could bring you more joy, contentment, more fulfilling relationships.
Practice description
I bring a gentle and empathic presence, where no story or difficulty is too small or too big to share and there is no judgement. In the sessions I can help you discover what may be holding you back from living your life to the fullest potential..
I combine Person-centred, Gestalt and Psychodynamic approaches in my practice. In the sessions, I will sit alongside you, often looking at early experiences to bring understanding that can help to initiate positive changes. If you would find it helpful, we may try some breathing and body awareness exercises, visualisations or gentle movement. These techniques can help bring the focus to your experience in the here-and-now and connect with the emotions or parts of yourself that may have been deeply hidden. I may also use family systems tools to bring understanding of relationship dynamics.
I believe counselling can help whether you are looking to understand yourself better, unburden some of your worries and anxieties, process some past experiences, are going through grieving process or other difficulties that you may be experiencing. Counselling can help you find ways to manage your life with greater confidence and contentment.
My first session
It is important to find a therapist that you feel safe with and can trust. A trusting and meaningful therapeutic relationship can aid the process of healing.
I do not have a prescriptive way to run the first session but usually it is the time for you to share a bit about yourself and the difficulties that you have been experiencing. You can share as much or as little that you feel ready to, we will go at your pace.
I offer this first session at a reduced fee so you can experience the therapy with me and we can both discuss and decide if and how we could work together.

About me and my therapy practice
Being a humanist at heart, I believe we all have the potential and internal resources to live a fulfilling life.
Counselling with me can be of help to you if you are finding life difficult at the moment and are looking for ways to navigate through these difficulties with greater understanding, acceptance of yourself and trust in your inner resources. You may also be looking to develop more fulfilling relationships with yourself and with others.
In the sessions with me, I will listen to you and learn what your needs and preferences are, so I can work with you in ways that are most relevant and helpful to you, using a range of therapeutic tools and theories. My natural inclination is to work holistically, supporting body and mind integration. This can be done through a range of exercises, for example breathing, gentle movement, combined with the exploration of the root causes of your difficulties.
I have experience working with the NHS Talking Therapies seeing a range of clients with anxiety, ADHD, depression, low self-esteem, self harming, going through grieving process, stress at work and difficulties in relationships. More recently I have been working in a private practice, seeing clients in South London - Clapham and Brixton locations, as well as online.
