About me and my therapy practice
Hello and welcome to my page.
My name is Caroline and I am an integrative counsellor and psychological therapist working from a psychological informed approach. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and have GMBPsS status with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
You have now taken the first step to living a ‘Whole’ life, whatever your reasons for seeking support, nothing is too big or too small to explore. I believe therapy is for ‘everyone’ and not just for when we reach a crisis point in our lives. Our sessions may be about a specific issue or transition you may be going through such as a relationship or work challenges, bereavement and loss etc or about exploring feeling 'stuck' and a lack of motivation, energy or strength to move forward. Alternatively you may want to take the time to explore a little deeper, particularly around initial attachments and past experiences and events and how these may be impacting you in the HERE and NOW.
Why seek Therapy?
Therapy can help us in bringing about more awareness and insight into our behavioural and thinking patterns and any areas that might be holding us back from living a full and fulfilled life. I provide a safe, empathic and non-judgmental space for us to explore together why you may be feeling this way and what may be holding you back. It is my belief that psychological therapy can help you to accept the past, embrace the present and rewrite the future.
I am open to different ways of working either online of in person;
Short term/Fixed sessions counselling - focused on a particular issue, such as a transition, a relationship, work issue.
Long-term/Open ended psychological therapy - to explore a little deeper, around past experiences and how these may be impacting you in the present
Single Session counselling - providing space to unburden and process a feeling, issue or dilemma
How we collaborate to meet your needs can be discussed more during our initial session.
Practice description
I integrate holistic therapeutic approaches and practice. As an integrative counsellor and psychological therapist sessions are tailored to each unique persons needs by providing a relational, empathic and non-judgmental safe space for us to explore and process in a collaborative way. I work across Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Behavioural approaches with a solutions focused perspective across cultures and difference.
I am trauma and attachment informed and provide a safe space to explore the impact of past experiences, maladaptive habits and adaptations and other coping mechanisms which may no longer be serving you at this time. Working from a holistic approach in our sessions, we can review your lifestyle patterns and collaborate on making any necessary adjustments which can help to alleviate your symptoms and reenergise you to live a whole life. I will also support you to tap into and manifest your hidden strengths and resilience, working together to bring about positive change.
I also offer Young adult counselling which is specifically focused on providing counselling, psychological therapy and coaching to Young adults between 18 - 25. Feelings of Anxiety and Overwhelm or feeling Stressed and Depressed can often be magnified during the transition from Adolescence into Young adulthood and can trigger a multitude of feelings which often lead to the adoption of maladaptive coping mechanisms.
The sessions are tailored to each unique individual and may begin with a specific issue such as;
- a work or academic life challenge or dilemma
- a relationship dilemma or complicated family dynamics
- a past situation, event or experience
- feelings of being 'stuck' or a crossroads
- a general lack of energy and motivation
- a bereavement or loss
I provide a safe and non judgemental space to help develop self awareness to gain a better understanding of your experiences and to help you to develop more adaptive behaviours to increase your resilience whilst navigating life's inevitable transitions.
My first session
I understand that finding a therapist can be challenging, with questions coming to mind such as; will I find the right fit for me, someone I can relate to, someone who will understand me, and or someone who I can build a relationship of trust to be fully open about my challenges?
These are important questions as a therapeutic relationship which is built on trust and openness between the client and therapist is the most essential part of the healing process.
On this basis, I offer a free 15-minute introductory chat (if required) to see if we are a good fit for each other. You can contact me via email to arrange a free 15 minute session via telephone.
Further sessions
Once we agree to work together, I will send out an outline our working agreement. I do recommend weekly sessions to begin with however this can be reduced to bimonthly if required.
- Online 50 mins (via Zoom) - £60 per session
- Face to Face 50 mins - £75 - £95 per session (Putney, Clapham, Kensington locations)

About me and my therapy practice
Young adult Counselling
Are you 18-27 and experiencing feelings of Anxiety and Overwhelm or feeling Stressed and Depressed without fully understanding why you might be feeling this way?
These are normal feelings when trying to navigate life's challenges and uncertainties, however, these feelings can be magnified during the transition from Adolescence into young adulthood. The transition into young adulthood also known as emerging adulthood can incorporate;
- the age of identity explorations - exploring the question "Who am I?
- the age of instability with regard to relationships, academics, career, and place of residence.
- the self-focused age - taking on greater independence and responsibility.
- the age of feeling in-between adolescence and adulthood,
- the age of possibilities / optimism about the future.
These common themes can trigger a multitude of feelings and stress often leading to the adoption of maladaptive coping mechanisms.
Why seek therapy.
Therapy can provide a space in which to process feelings helping to bring more insight and awareness into behavioural and thinking patterns and any areas which may be holding you back from living a full and fulfilled life. It can help us to accept the past, embrace the present and re write the future, enabling us to live fully and consciously in the moment.
