About me and my therapy practice
I'm Christina and I am a fully trained BACP registered integrative counsellor, which means that I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs.
Whether this is your first experience of counselling or you've sought support before, it can feel daunting. It takes courage to take that first step and reach out for help. But by doing so, you’ve already made a powerful decision to make a change in your life. I will work collaboratively with you to support your personal journey towards growth, healing, and creating positive and lasting change.
I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship between you and your counsellor. This relationship is unique, unlike any other, and it must feel right.
I offer a free 15-minute phone call where you can share what has led you to seek counselling and this conversation will help you decide if we’re a good fit to work together.
Practice description
You might be seeking counselling to help resolve or heal from past traumas, navigate current challenges, or you might be feeling lost, stuck or overwhelmed and unsure how to move forward in a way that feels right for you. You may have a specific goal from therapy or just need to tell your story to someone who can listen with empathy and without judgement.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly heard and validated. Together, we'll explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotional patterns, helping you to make connections and gain a deeper understanding of yourself so that you can make meaningful changes in your life.
My first session
In our initial session, you’ll have the opportunity to get to know me a bit, and I’ll explain how the sessions will work. I’ll ask some questions about your personal history, what has brought you to counselling, why now, and, if you’re clear on them, your hopes and goals for therapy.
If you’d like to continue after this first session, we can schedule weekly sessions at a time that suits you. I’ll also ask you to sign a contract outlining how we’ll work together moving forward.
