Availability
I'm available for new clients on Mon- Fri with various hours between 7am to 7pm. Sessions can be face to face in lovely room in Leytonstone, close to the station and parking, as well as zoom sessions. Choosing a therapist can be a daunting process so please do get in touch for free 20 minute conversation so you can get a sense if I'm a good fit for you. You won't get on with everyone, and you won't hurt a therapist's feelings if you don't want to pursue it any further. This is an important step and while nothing's perfect, it's important that you go with someone you feel comfortable with in this strange and sometimes uncomfortable but deeply worthwhile process.

My name's Cath and I’m a trauma informed eclectic therapist, which means I’ll choose from a range of tools and therapies to meet your needs. We’re all different and what resonates with one person won’t feel right for another. But whatever the tools or therapies used, what is essential is the relationship between you and your therapist. It's so important that you feel as safe and comfortable as you can in order to explore what might be uncomfortable.
Practice description
Some people come to therapy with specific goals or concerns they want to address. Some might have an inkling that there’s some old baggage they need to unpack. Others come into therapy not knowing what’s wrong, just knowing life is difficult and they want to feel differently. Together we can explore all and any of this; explore how you encounter life and what’s standing in the way of moving forward, and gently and bravely – because therapy is a courageous endeavour - unravel what’s standing in your way.
When we’re young we often develop coping behaviours and beliefs that keep us safe, because we haven’t always had our needs met, and those coping mechanisms become automatic. Later in life those same patterns and beliefs don’t work any more and often become actively unhelpful and we need to make changes. A therapist can be that trusted companion, with no agenda other than to support you, to help you move into more helpful ways of life.
