About me and my therapy practice

People come to therapy for all sorts of reasons, be it loss, separation, addiction, childhood neglect, abusive relationships, struggles with finding the right partner, identity, loneliness, anxiety, depression and others.

As we travel through our lives, we may encounter many of the same challenges, finding ourselves repeating responses to them, patterns of behaviour that we seem unable to change.

Using an attachment-based approach to psychotherapy we would work together, through our relationship, in a safe and confidential setting, to look deeper into these responses and how the past so often links to the present.

As the relationship between you and your therapist is unique, it is important to take time to build trust together, working at the pace that is appropriate for you. I offer open-ended therapy from one to three times per week, to suit each individual. It’s hard to know what to look for in a therapist, there are so many different types of therapy, and it can feel overwhelming. It can help to have a couple of sessions to begin with to see how you feel.

Practice description

I practise in Islington (EC1V), a five minute walk from Old Street train station, or Dalston (E8), a five minute walk from Dalston Junction train station. I can offer online therapy if needed.

Sessions are 50 minutes. I do offer some lower cost options, so please ask if any are available if needed. Once our regular session is agreed, this is exclusively your time, so any cancellations will be charged for. I won’t charge for any sessions that I cancel.

My first session

I offer an initial 20 minute zoom session at no charge, just to say hi really so you can see who I am, and for you to ask any questions you may have.

Otherwise we would start with an initial session of 50 minutes to see how it feels to work together (in person ideally, but zoom also an option). We will discuss what has brought you to therapy and any queries you may have.
