About me and my therapy practice
Are you feeling constantly overwhelmed with life's challenges?
Hello, I'm Olivia, welcome to my profile. I am a qualified Person-Centred therapist, experienced working with a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, stress, relationship/family problems and much more. Alongside this, I am keen to work with people experiencing ADHD and/or chronic illnesses, having experience with both in my own life. I understand how daunting it can feel to be questioning your own worth, worrying about the future, and struggling to cope with life’s challenges. You are not alone, we can work through this together.
If you choose to move forward with me, our sessions will be a space for you to bring whatever feels right that week, in a non-judgemental and supportive environment. Person-Centred therapy is non-directive, which means we will work collaboratively through any challenges. We can uncover underlying thoughts and feelings along the way, and challenge any negative beliefs you may have about yourself, which may be holding you back from being the best version of you!
Practice description
I offer sessions via telephone. I will admit that I used to be skeptical about telephone counselling, but after receiving telephone therapy myself, my mind was completely changed. Benefits of this type of therapy include the convenience of not having to leave your house, especially helpful for those experiencing health issues. In my own experience, I found myself more willing to be open, and honest with my therapist earlier, as the interaction was faceless and felt more anonymous, which made me feel more comfortable. Also, I saved time, energy and money that would otherwise be spent on commuting to and from sessions. I can admit that it is unlikely now that I would go back to in-person therapy, due to these advantages. I understand that not everyone will feel this way, but I encourage you to try remote therapy if you have not previously.
If you are interested in working with me, a short telephone consultation is available to see if we are the right fit, which can be arranged via email.
