About me and my therapy practice
You don't need to have it all figured out....
...but you DO need to be ready to dive in.
I'm Tammy, and I haven't got it figured out either (does anybody?!) I'm a counsellor who is deeply familiar with feeling too much and not enough; and I believe in the power of showing up fully as we are - flawed, vulnerable, and human. Through my own journey of embracing the messy parts of myself, I’ve discovered that real growth happens when we stop trying to 'fix' ourselves and instead lean into what’s uncomfortable. I’m here to support you as you explore the parts of yourself you might have been avoiding. This work isn’t about reaching perfection; it’s about accepting your truth, owning your story, and building deeper, more meaningful relationships with yourself and others.
Here's the thing.....
If you're looking for a quick fix, surface-level therapy and to be fed only tools and coping mechanisms, then this kind of therapy isn't for you. I’m not the type of counsellor who’s going to sit there with a notebook or clipboard, nodding seriously, with arms crossed saying “hmm, and how does that make you feel?” but I do aim to be real, curious....and a little unpolished. So, if you value self-awareness and growth, understand that this process can be uncomfortable but are committed to showing up anyway; then get in touch.
I’m trained and qualified in Person-Centred therapy and a member of the BACP. Although my practice is not limited to specialist areas, my personal interests and experience include resilience, anxiety, perfectionism & shame, maternal narcissism, sexual trauma and abuse.
