About me and my therapy practice

I’m a qualified Integrative Counsellor, and a Trainee Clinical Psychologist based on the Wirral. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

My core therapeutic model is Person-Centred Therapy but I can integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis, and Compassion Focused Therapy. By working in a person-centred, integrative manner, I acknowledge that every client is unique. I work collaboratively to tailor sessions specifically to the client.

I have a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Psychology and a Master’s degree (MSc) in Psychological Wellbeing in Clinical Practice. Alongside this, I hold a Therapeutic Counselling Diploma.

I have had several years experience working as an Assistant Psychologist in the NHS (within adult, children and learning disability services), and as a Trainee Counsellor at Age UK. Within these posts I have worked therapeutically with adults, children, young people, and individuals with neurodiversity and/or learning disabilities. I have worked in a range of setting including GP practices, hospitals, community settings and within schools.

I have worked with many presenting issues including (but not limited to): anxiety, depression, bereavement, workplace stress, self-esteem, identity issues, relationship challenges, health related issues, abuse.
