About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I'm Anna.
I'm a warm, down-to-earth psychotherapist with experience in Canada, Japan, and the UK. If you are going through anxious, low, or troubled times, I offer a safe, confidential space and a skilled perspective to support your journey to meaningful change.
Beyond labels and diagnoses, I am interested in who you are, what happened to you, how you are currently dealing with it, and what you truly need to move forward with more ease. My aim is for you to be seen and understood within the safety of a trusted therapeutic relationship. Growth happens from here.
I work with clients on a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, bereavement, questions around identity, fertility, midlife & later life crises, health, work and relationship issues, family difficulties, abandonment, addictions, recent or historic abuse, and trauma, among others. I appreciate how such difficulties can make us feel disconnected from ourselves.
I am not the silent therapist, we will dialogue. We all have life stories, what are the meanings in yours? Are they helpful or keeping you stuck? Are they yours or did you adopt them? What do you need to process and feel for your perspective to expand?
I'll encourage you to speak about what's important to you, what's confusing, painful, shameful, or keeping you up at night; what needs to be said, even if you don't know until you say it. I will accompany you on the journey with patience and compassionate care, and at times offer gentle challenge to open fresh perspectives. The path ahead is yours, with my support.

Training & Experience
I am a qualified psychotherapist with a Masters degree in integrative-existential psychotherapy from Regent's University London, and a BA from University of Toronto, graduating from both with distinction.
Having grown up in Canada, of European roots, and lived and worked 7 years in Japan, and now 14 years in the UK, I am interested in notions of identity and the contexts and relationships which shape who we are. This multicultural experience enriches my therapeutic practice, allowing me to connect deeply with clients from various backgrounds.
I have a clinical interest in inner child work, which is particularly helpful for those with traumatic experiences, as well as experience supporting women with eating disorders, addictions, and developmental trauma. I have gained experience in both private and charity sectors with a wide range of clients. I have a special interest in working with bereavement. My professional experience includes supporting international executives adapting to significant career changes and new cultural environments. As such, I recognise the demands corporate life may have on personal well-being.
I am a Registered Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), and the Society of Existential Analysis (SEA). I abide by the ethical code of BACP, including a commitment to regular supervision and continuing professional development.
