About me and my therapy practice

Facing our problems head-on and deciding to seek therapy takes courage, and I am here for you every step of the way. Our sessions will provide a safe, welcoming space to explore the issues that are affecting you, free from shame and judgement. I believe that profound change begins with accepting ourselves for who we are, no matter what. Understanding the impact of things that have happened in our past, and why we think or act the way we do, gives us a roadmap to becoming a better version of ourselves. I am trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and techniques that can help guide you in this process, and I will tailor our sessions to what works for you. Therapy is not a quick fix, and healing can be painful, but through it you will develop the skills, confidence, and self-compassion to overcome whatever life brings, including the situation you are in right now.

Practice description

I have a Masters in Counselling from Bangor University, where I studied Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Cognitive and Behavioural approaches to therapy. My practice is integrative, with Person-Centred at its core, and I undergo continuing professional development to ensure I am delivering the very best in evidence-based Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have previously worked with North Wales Women’s Centre and Cruse Bereavement Support, and I currently work part time for the NHS Primary Care Mental Health Counselling Service in North Wales.

My first session

First of all, I offer a free 15-minute phone call to see if we are a good fit. You can then decide whether you would like us to work together in person, over the phone or via videocall. We can also use a combination of these, depending on your circumstances, or we can have sessions outdoors and take a walk together.
