About me and my therapy practice

I can work face-to-face or remotely with my clients. I am an Accredited Member of the NCPS and a Registered Member of the BACP (MBACP). I have undergone 7 years of in-depth training, including The Tavistock and Portman, Terapia with Middlesex University, Place2Be, and The Link Centre. I have gone through 6 years of clinical placements and voluntary work during my training to gain practical knowledge, working with a diverse range of multicultural, intercultural and cross cultural clients across all social economic groups. These include include: Commercial, Charities, the NHS, and Educational institutions.

My Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is important, and I ensure I am up to date with the latest developments in effective therapeutic practice to help me support my clients in the best way possible.

My key Therapeutic Approach is Integrative. This means I am trained to use a variety of Therapeutic Methods, using a variety of skills to support the individual needs of clients. I also aim to give my clients Therapeutic tools to assist them to build up their own resources outside of therapy. I work with Integrity and support my clients in ways that naturally connect with their personalities, abilities and strengths.

I am a warm, open minded, and empathic person. I have a background in Residential Social Work and Community Care Work. I am an also a qualified Clinical Aromatherapist and Shiatsu therapist.

I aim to be non-judgemental and work collaboratively with my clients, identifying how best to support their needs. I can work across short, medium, and longer frameworks, adapting flexibly to different needs and settings. I work with low key, or more complex issues and difficulties. I am a very skilled in Practical, Emotional and Creative problem-solving.

Practice description

I am a postgraduate Counsellor working with Adults, Families, Children and Adolescents. I also have specialist training in supporting Children, Adolescents and Young Adults.

  • Working with staff and professionals in Health and Emergency services.

  • Relationships.
  • Loss, Grief and Bereavement.
  • Working with people going through complex or challenging life situations and decisions.
  • Trauma and crisis support and recovery.

My first session

We can book in a 20-minute free consultation to see if I can support your needs as an individual or organisation, and if we are a good match to work together effectively. If we decide to proceed, we can arrange details of when, where and how we will begin to work together.

Different settings will have their own requirements and protocols. For example, you may be referred via a GP, a charity or institution, or see me as a private client.
