About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP. I invite you to bring whatever you would like us to work on together into a safe and compassionate environment where you can feel valued and accepted. At your own pace, together we can begin to explore and make sense of what is going on for you. By reflecting on your thoughts and patterns of behaviour, new knowledge can be gained which can empower you to begin to make changes in your life.

I work with both adults and young people (9 +) and have completed the CPCAB level 5 certificate in Counselling Children and Young People.

I have additional understanding of deafness and am fluent in BSL, having achieved the Level 6 BSL qualification in 2017. My background in working with d/Deaf young people as a Communicator and Teaching Assistant has given me an in-depth understanding of the Deaf community, along with an increased awareness of some of the additional difficulties d/Deaf people can experience.

Practice description

I offer face-to-face sessions at the peaceful setting of Oak House Studio and Therapies in Hatfield. There is a free car park on site and Hatfield train station is just a 15 minute walk away.

I also work online and via telephone.

Sessions can be long-term or short-term depending on your needs and situation. Sessions are usually weekly and held at the same time each week.

My first session

I offer a free initial 15 minute conversation to explore the reasons behind your interest in therapy and give you an opportunity to ask any questions. This enables us both to determine whether I may be the right therapist to meet your needs.

The first full-length session is an opportunity for me to gain a deeper understanding of you and for us to explore any goals you may have for therapy.
