About me and my therapy practice
Achieving balance in our careers and personal goals can be difficult. As a Person-Centred Counsellor with a PhD in Psychology, I provide thoughtful, trusted conversation to help you navigate challenges related to career, relationships, everyday life, and loss.
I offer Career-Focused Therapy and Individual Counselling that can help you work through problems, overcome setbacks, and make sense of difficult experiences.
I am trained as a Person-Centred Counsellor (MBACP) and Workplace Behavioural Psychologist (CPsychol). As a therapist, I work with a wide variety of issues, with specific expertise in careers, workplace ageing, and retirement transition. No matter the reason you are seeking therapy, you can expect to receive support to work through your problems, personal history, and goals for the future safely, confidentially, and without judgement.
The use of the title Dr in this directory listing relates to the member’s doctorate qualification. However, this does not imply a general medical qualification.
Practice description
I offer Career-Focused Therapy and Individual Counselling sessions online. Sessions run for 50 minutes and are offered on a regular or flexible basis depending on your needs.
Career-Focused Therapy can help you to navigate professional challenges related to work-life balance, leadership, career transition, and retirement. As a counsellor and workplace behavioural psychologist, I can support you to work at depth towards achieving meaning, purpose, and fulfilment in and around work. This means confidential support to discuss work-related challenges, including how your work and career ambitions might be affecting your personal life and relationships. I draw on the latest evidence-based tools and knowledge to support you to achieve your goals.
Individual Counselling is sought for many different reasons, including stress, anxiety, low-mood, relationship problems, and loss. Counselling can help you to work through complexity and cope better with challenges, improving your overall wellbeing and life satisfaction. For those wanting to deeply understand themselves, I provide an open and compassionate space for you to independently explore what matters; past, present, and future.
My first session
Prior to working together, I offer a free 15-minute initial telephone conversation. This is a confidential conversation to understand what has brought you to therapy and how I might be able to help you. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and find out if I am the right counsellor for you.
Our first session will give you the opportunity to discuss your situation in more depth and share what you would like to achieve through therapy. We will also discuss how we can best work together to achieve your aims.
