About me and my therapy practice
One of the most fulfilling aspects of being a therapist for me is witnessing the positive changes in the children’s lives. Helping a child through their presenting difficulties is an incredibly rewarding role and highlights my passion for being a therapist.
I have experience working in diverse settings with children and young people of all age ranges, in both educational and community environment. I am currently a therapist in a school (4-18) for children with Autism. I have been part of a well-being team in a secondary school, worked as a crisis counsellor and has also worked as an emotional wellbeing practitioner for the NHS.
Alongside to completing my training at Cambridge University I also obtained my TheraplayUK level 1 training and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Certificate. Prior to my postgraduate degree I studied her Psychology BSc Hons at the University of The West of England, Bristol.
I focus on containing and listening to the child, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed. My sessions are flexible and adaptive, tailored to each child's unique developmental requirements. This personalized approach helps children feel supported, understood, and empowered to navigate their challenges and grow emotionally and developmentally.
I am an empathic and compassionate therapist dedicated to understanding and supporting the feelings of the children I work with. My approach provides a safe, containing space where children can explore their emotions through the arts. By offering this nurturing environment, I help them feel understood and valued as they navigate their challenges.
Practice description
My therapy room is full of resources that inspire creativity and communication for young people of all ages. I specialise in working with children and adolescents who are facing emotional or behavioural challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or school-related stress. They need a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment to express themselves and feel understood.
