About me and my therapy practice
My name is Trung and I am a person-centred psychotherapist. My role as your psychotherapist is to support and work alongside you.
I work compassionately and sensitively, building a space that is safe and free from judgement. It is here that we are able to explore issues, thoughts and feelings that maybe you haven't been able to explore alone. We will work together towards reaching the heart of the issue. This may be a specific concern at present or a theme or undercurrent of something older.
At the core of our work together is you and supporting you through healing and growth.
I volunteered at Futureworks, supporting students with the pressures of University and mental health related issues and I currently volunteer at the LGBT Foundation as a volunteer counsellor.
With that in mind, I have worked with a diverse range of people for an equally diverse range of reasons , including mental health reasons such as depression, anxiety and trauma. I have particular experience with Autism, ADHD, gender identity, relationship issues and LGBTQIA+ issues such as coming out.
My first session
Before our first full session together, I recommend we have an opportunity to speak to each other first. This is to ensure that we both feel comfortable with one another, for you to ask any questions you may have and assess if you want to move forward with our sessions together.
The first session will vary from person to person, but it is often a good space for us to explore what it is that has brought you seek out therapy and what (or if) you have any specific goals you wish to reach. Together, we will then discuss how I will help you and work with you.
What I can help with
Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, LGBTQ+ counselling, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma, Work related issues
