About me and my therapy practice
Feeling vulnerable and overwhelmed by life’s events can happen to any of us and usually occurs at the most inappropriate time. Do you feel unable to make sense of how you feel? Do you have difficulties in relationships? Have you noticed the same patterns of behaviour happening repetitively in your life? Do you have low self-confidence/self-esteem? Do you suffer with anxiety and/or depression? If you have answered yes to any of the above, then I may be able to help you.
I have a Level 7 Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy graduating from the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy. I am a member of the UKCP and working towards post graduate accreditation. I am also a member of the BACP. I also have a clinical background in nursing, and I am registered with the NMC. I have regular supervision with an accredited supervisor. I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
My clinical experience covers a wide range of issues from bereavement, stress, anxiety, depression, emotional neglect, trauma, abuse, peri-menopause and menopause.
I offer an empathetic, professional and friendly environment where you can feel safe and comfortable enough to talk about your concerns in a confidential setting. I would aim to work with you holistically, encompassing all aspects. Together we can work towards you reaching ways to manage difficulties, develop yourself and make positive life choices.
Practice description
I have over 400 hours of clinical experience working with a variety of clients aged 18+ dealing with stressors such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, bereavement and loss, abuse (sexual, verbal and physical), addiction, OCD, trauma, childhood trauma, identity and personal development, family and relationship dynamics, parental difficulties. I work in an integrative way, which means I use different models of theory, however, my main theory and model is Transactional Analysis.
I offer a free 15-minute telephone call to allow you time to talk with me and tell me about what you are seeking support with. It is important for you to feel that the choice of counsellor is right for you and that we are able to work together therapeutically.
My first session
Because it is so important for you to find the right person to work with the first session is important. This session is to identify your need for therapy, create a safe space to get to know one another and see if we can work collaboratively, together. There is no obligation or pressure for you to continue with sessions should you choose not to.
Please feel free to contact me through BACP to make an appointment or if you have any questions at all and I assure you that I will always respond via WhatsApp or email.
In the event that you haven't received a response from me within a couple of days, please kindly check your junk email folder to ensure you haven't missed any messages from me.
