About me and my therapy practice
My counselling practice offers a calm, supportive space to help you navigate life's challenges with clarity and strength. Through thoughtful guidance, I help you heal, grow, and build the resilience to find balance and move forward with confidence.
While I take my work very seriously, I am not the stoic, Freudian type. I counsel using proven, effective methods to provide a gentle, safe, and playful approach to therapy that can lead to more healing, fulfilment and joy.
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling from the Psychosynthesis Trust and I am a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP- Membership No. 405059).
As well as private practice I work with Humankind as an Addiction Service Counsellor.
Before I began the journey of counselling I worked in the charity and creative sectors, but it was during Covid I decided to begin my journey to working as a counsellor - I hope you can be part of that journey as much as I hope to be with you on yours.
I am a dedicated and compassionate psychosynthesis therapist, committed to guiding individuals on their journey towards holistic healing and self-discovery. With a deep understanding of human psychology and a passion for helping others unlock their fullest potential, I strive to create a safe and nurturing space for my clients to explore their inner worlds, cultivate self-awareness, and embrace personal grow
Practice description
At my therapy practice, I integrate the principles and techniques of psychosynthesis—a holistic approach to psychology that honors the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and collaboration, as I work alongside my clients to navigate life's challenges, heal past wounds, and cultivate a sense of wholeness and empowerment.
In our sessions together, I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences with curiosity and compassion. Drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including mindfulness, guided imagery, and inner dialogue, I tailor each session to meet the unique needs and goals of the individual.
Whether you're seeking support for managing stress and anxiety, navigating life transitions, or exploring deeper existential questions, I am here to accompany you on your journey of self-discovery and personal transformation. Together, we will uncover your innate strengths, tap into your inner wisdom, and cultivate the resilience and self-awareness needed to thrive in all aspects of life.
Embark on a journey of self-exploration and healing with me as your guide. Let's work together to unlock your true potential and create a life filled with meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.
My first session
The first session, a chargeable assessment, is an opportunity for us to meet and get to each other, to clarify the contract of how I work and to cover the important questions to make sure you are ethically safeguarded in accordance with the BACP.
It will also be a space for you to ask any questions you may have about me or the counselling process and to talk about what brings you to counselling.
At the end of this session we should have a good idea as to whether we want to work together and continue with further sessions, although you may want to think it over for a few days.

About me and my therapy practice
I'm Jonathan, a counsellor working with and within the LGBTQ+ Community. As a gay man I have always appreciated the space counselling has offered me to find my place in the world and hope I can provide the same spaciousness for others.
While I take my work very seriously, I am not the stoic, Freudian type. I counsel using proven, effective methods to provide a gentle, safe, and playful approach to therapy that can lead to more healing, fulfilment and joy.
A client testimonial:
"Working with Jonathan was a very calming and centring experience. At a time when I felt emotionally volatile and lost, he held space for me to be my honest self in a supportive and non-judgmental way. With his gentle guidance I was able to work through some overwhelming feelings, safe in the knowledge that anything that came up would be acknowledged, addressed and, where necessary, challenged with care, kindness and warmth."
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling from the Psychosynthesis Trust. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
As well as private practice I work with Humankind as an Addiction Service Counsellor.
Before I began the journey of counselling I worked in the charity and creative sectors, but it was during Covid that I decided to begin my journey to working as a counsellor - I hope you can be part of that journey as much as I hope to be with you on yours.
I work both online and in person and have been working with clients since 2022.

Many practitioners write a list of issues they work with. I take a different approach. You are more than a label or a diagnosis, so let’s have a discussion to see how I can be of service to you.
If I think another practitioner will be better suited to your needs, I will happily provide you with some recommendations.
I warmly welcome all clients to my practice and work with a wide range of differing ages, cultures, faiths abilities and backgrounds. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and welcome clients from this group.

About me and my therapy practice
Counselling is a place to travel through the environment of your current challenges, obstacles, and opportunities, and for you to explore this terrain – and all the parts of your past and present that make up the amazing landscape that is you. A place where you explore your dreams and fears for the future, and ask questions about what brought you to this point in your life.
If this is something you feel curious to undertake with me, please read a bit more, or get in touch
