I work online and am flexible in my approach, it is important for people to be able to access therapy at a time that suits them.
I work evenings, weekends as well as weekdays.
About me and my therapy practice
I have spent over 30 years working with people including managing a team within a Domestic Abuse agency, and working alongside police officers. I have worked within Children’s Services, Women’s Aid, and in private practice. I specialise in anxiety, depression, abuse, stress, relationship, low self esteem, bereavement to name but a few.
I am an experienced Counsellor with many years experience of working with individuals and couples. I have a person centred trauma informed approach which means that I will work with your own individual needs and tailor my approach accordingly. This will help you work towards achieving what you want and ultimately feel better. I provide long term and short term therapy. I will challenge you to work hard as I believe that people can adjust their behaviours if they want their lives to change for the better. I will help you every step of the way to make sure that this is not a quick fix, but something long lasting.
Practice description
I provide long term and short term therapy for individuals face to face online and telephone.
The first session is where you can share all of your presenting issues and we can work out the best way forward. This is also so that we can meet as people and see if we could work well together. Following the initial assessment we will continue to work weekly using whichever modality we have decided on as the best to address the issues discussed.
I offer a safe and confidential space where you can freely explore your thoughts and feelings without being judged.
My first session
The first session will be an assessment session where we discuss all of your presenting issues and work out the best way forward. This is also so that we can meet as people and see if we could work well together. It is up to you as the client to decide whether you would like to continue after the assessment or not.
Following the initial assessment we will continue to work weekly using whichever modality we have decided on as the best to address the issues discussed.
