About me and my therapy practice
I believe that the heart of counselling or coaching is to enhance self-awareness. If we know who we are, obtain the strength to align with our values and have the power to say no when required then we can all live a more fulfilled life.
We all have history – memories and events which have shaped our lives and made us who we are today. These historical events may be sprinkled with both positive and negative experiences. The power of gaining support is to allow you to share these experiences from your personal perspective. It’s great having supportive friends and family, however, they can at times interrupt or unconsciously try and change your opinion if your experience does not align with theirs. This can be seen as dismissive. As a counsellor, I am here to actively listen in a non-judgemental manner which allows you to feel heard and valued. It may sound simplistic, however, the power of being believed is not to be minimised.
Yes, coming to counselling may feel vulnerable and I am good at building relationships to lessen those feelings and enhance your confidence in sharing your thoughts, feelings and encounters in a safe environment.

Experienced Humanistic Counsellor, Life Coach and Trainer.
I worked within the military environment for 12 years supporting various aspects of bereavement, transition, anxiety, depression and relationship concerns, although, this list is not exhaustive. I work holistically with the mind, body and spirit. I believe that a lot of physical and mental ailments are linked to emotional and psychological trauma. Working through these past experiences can help to lift your mood, and gain some clarity and self-awareness. This will then allow you to choose different ways of being and make more informed choices about what is right for you.
I offer a safe and welcoming environment, either online or face-to-face.
