About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified integrative counsellor who is a Registered Member of the BACP and an Accredited Registrant with NCPS. Based in Glasgow, I offer a non-judgemental, supportive, and confidential space in which to express your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that is comfortable for you.
As an integrative counsellor I draw upon the Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) modalities whilst using a trauma-informed approach. This allows me to adapt how we work together to best suit your needs and the issues you are experiencing.
I offer online and telephone counselling sessions to people located within the UK, and may also be able to offer in-person appointments to people in Glasgow.
Practice description
There comes a time in everyone’s life that they become aware of the need for change; the need to reach out for support. Specific life events, ongoing situations, unwanted patterns of behaviour, relationship struggles and scripts we seem to find ourselves acting out can affect us profoundly.
We can reach the point of feeling overwhelmed, scared, stuck, misunderstood, lonely, stressed, or ineffectual. Each day can be a struggle to think or feel good enough, acceptable, valuable or to feel comfortable in your own skin.
Counselling can offer a space where you can access support and begin to change. To learn skills and endure difficulties with self-compassion and resilience.
My aim is to facilitate discovery; uncover ways to withstand and embrace life with comfort and curiosity, to honour your needs, learn how to soothe yourself and engage with positive, sustainable growth.
Your individuality, values and goals will help guide how we work together to support your journey towards a more positive, grounded, authentic and resilient life.
My first session
We can arrange a free online initial assessment appointment. This will allow me to gather your details and complete some assessments with you to learn more about you and your circumstances. We will also discuss further what you are looking for from counselling and how we will work together going forward.
Each counselling appointment will cost £50.
However, I offer a discounted concessionary rates (£35) to those receiving UK benefits, and students currently registered with a UK college, university or counselling training provider at the time they commence counselling.
The session fee will remain the same for the duration of time we work together and will not increase (however if you later become eligible for a concessionary fee the price will decrease in keeping with this change).
