About me and my therapy practice
In my practice, I employ an integrative approach to therapy, weaving together the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy, and Psychodynamic approaches. This tailored method is aimed at helping you reach your personal goals while cultivating a deeper awareness of yourself and your relationships. Often, our views can become clouded, resulting in unproductive patterns. I will assist you in attaining insight, fostering self-compassion, and embracing the potential for significant change.
I invite you to start this journey with a complimentary half-hour consultation, available in person or via Zoom/telephone. This gives us an opportunity to discuss your hopes for therapy, while also allowing me to introduce myself and answer any questions you may have. Once you are ready, we can then embark on your therapeutic journey, complete with regular assessments to monitor your progress.
My foremost aim is to understand your unique world so that we can collaboratively explore the changes or insights that would help you most. Whether you seek a long-term relationship or prefer brief work, we will identify the approach that best aligns with your needs.
I recognise that the choice to seek therapy is brave. Having been on my own journey, I understand the transformative power therapy can wield in enhancing a person’s life, relationships, and self-view.
If you feel prepared to take this significant step towards personal growth and transformation, I encourage you to reach out and arrange your complimentary consultation today.
Practice description
I work from Alvechurch, Bromsgrove, Kings Heath and Kings Norton in South Birmingham/North Worcestershire. I rent rooms at a number of centres, so I am flexible subject to notice, and availability of premises. I also do a walk and talk session (if appropriate) for those who find being outside therapeutic. For those with access difficulties I am able to offer home visits by arrangement and at some centres disabled access.
My first session
After the free first half an hour chat we would arrange a first session, I would ask you to complete a questionaire before you come, which we will begin the session with. It serves as an ice breaker and helps me to understand your issues and state of mind. It also facilitate a plan for the number of sessions and the work to be done.
