About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I’m Sophie, and I know first-hand how daunting starting your counselling journey can be, as I myself have been in your shoes, looking for the right counsellor.

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

A little bit about me. I’m a down-to-earth, empathic, caring, and warm person, with a passion for helping people to improve their mental well-being.  I see counselling not only as an investment in you but also, as a gift you give to yourself.

I trained as an integrative therapist, meaning I use different theories to tailor sessions individually to your needs. I work in a person-centred way, putting you at the centre of all of our work. The therapeutic relationship we build will be what underpins your therapeutic journey to a happier, more positive way of life.

I aim to create a safe, relaxed and non-judgemental space for you to begin to explore what has brought you to therapy.

If you think I may be the right fit for you, please feel free to get in touch via email.

Practice description

I am a qualified Integrative counsellor and registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy). I provide talking therapy using a humanistic approach, meaning you will learn to better understand yourself, deepen your self-awareness, and grow as a person. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental, and supportive environment within our sessions.

I lean into different techniques and theories, so sessions are tailored to your individual needs. I provide both short and long-term therapy either face to face or online via zoom.

I don’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach. We will work together collaboratively to help you to overcome difficulties and find healthy coping strategies. You will be given the space, respect and understanding to explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and relationships at a pace that is comfortable to you, so you can work towards positive change in your life.

My first session

I offer a FREE initial telephone consultation of up to 25 minutes. This gives us the opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to gain from sessions.
