About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Laura Evans. I’m an advanced integrative counsellor working with children (4+) Teenagers (11+) and young adults and Quarterlifers (up to 30yrs)
Being integrative simply means that I do not focus on one style or philosophy of therapy: I utilise many different styles depending on the specific issue. This enables a fluid ability to adapt to the needs of the client I’m working with. Whether we are working with difficult traumatic issues or just helping to navigate this ever-changing world, your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
I combine traditional therapeutic techniques with the power of creativity to establish a safe place where minds can recover and flourish. Everyone has their own unique reason for coming to therapy. What one person finds easy can be a problem for someone else. You may be very clear about your reasons, or you may feel stuck and know you are struggling but not quite sure why
If you’re a young person or teenager, can offer a free ‘taster’ session. My sessions for teens are designed to work collaboratively to help focus on working towards a positive future, developing effective coping methods, while boosting self-esteem, self-confidence and resilience. Sessions can help improve communication skills
As well as working with young people, I also provide parenting support; helping a parent gain deeper understanding of their child’s emotional needs, reflecting on their own responses and how to improve and strengthen the parent-child relationship.
You can message me from this page or via the link to my website above to enquire about availability.
I’m happy to offer a free phone-call to answer any queries.
